I had the privilege of capturing behind-the-scenes moments at Giovanna Gomez’s SCAD Senior Fashion Collection Promotional Video Shoot. This shoot was a vibrant blend of modern fashion and cultural heritage featuring a unique fusion of modern, edgy motorbike garments with the traditional aesthetics of Hispanic mariachi bands. Her vision was to create striking, avant-garde ensembles that also celebrate her roots in Mexico City, Mexico. All garments in this collection are made from cactus leather, showcasing Gomez’s commitment to sustainable fashion. The collection highlights feminine power and independence, while also showcasing that new sustainable leathers can be used to create durable ready-to-wear garments.
